The Sport Business Forum was held at Hagner Auditorium in the Bright Football Complex on Friday, October 22, 2010. This was the 5th Annual Sport Business Forum hosted by the Texas A&M University Division of Sport Management and the Center for Sport Management Research and Education. The forum attracted a large amount of students, making it a successful event. The students in attendance listened to professionals in the sport industry discuss their careers and the pathway that led to their careers. The forum was broken up into two separate panels, the first panel was the young professionals panel and the second was a professional panel. The young professional panel discussed their ties to Texas A&M University and their career paths in the sport industry. The professional panel focused on what the students at the forum can do to be successful in their future careers. After each panel finished, students were given the opportunity to speak in small groups to the individual speakers.
The 2010 Sport Business Forum accomplished its goals for helping students to understand what they can expect in the sport industry as well as how others accomplished their goals of working in the sport industry.
